Well, formally speaking, you're absolutely right but I think that the record of a hill is simply the longest jump taken on it. That seems to be pretty fair, I believe.

It's not the hill record. In longest standing competition, a Norwegian jumped 148 metres on this hill. The film is on youtube.

Eric Solheim DID go further but that was in non-sanctioned tournament, thus not a hill record. This is the official hill record.
