@spygirl715 go to the sumaveldosepro website and get a discount card. Depending on your insurance, you will ned up paying between $15 - $50 for a box of six units. And I always take a phenergran tablet ahead of time to prevent the nausea.
the sumavel dose pro is SO painful and I have a very high tolerance to pain. I would much rather just use a needle. But I have to say, it's the only thing I've tried that works on my migranes.
For those that say it is too expensive, go to the sumaveldosepro website and you can get a discount card which can drop your co-pay down to $15 depending on your primary insurance carrier.
Your info is incorrect. I use the Sumavel DosePro and I have no problems. Follow the instructions and it works well with NO pain. It feels like somebody touch my skin with an ice cube and no bruising and the same amount of blood that you get from a normal injection. It's important to squeeze the skin to make a little "hill" where you will inject the meds. if you don't , then the skin gets pushed away by the pressure and that is when bruising and more bleeding happens.
Since this doesn't come in a generic, my insurance won't cover it... But, my doctor gave me a sample of it. The problem remains, as with ALL triptans is the instantaneous nausea that follows.
hey i use the imitrex injection and without this medication i would just suffer. It is the best thing i have found to stop my migraines. It is fast almost always and fast i mean within 35 minutes for instant relief.
it was highly painful! i had a script for 6 and it was well over a thousand dollars!

where do I make the injection? Does it differ from regular imitrex injection (location wise)? Thank you.
