  • When was this shot? It must have been a few years ago, since Amtrak retired or sold off all of its F40PH--except for those that had been converted to NPCUs--after it started using the Jennies.

  • @decline2state It was shot sometime around 2000.

  • The second train must have been a detoured train from the shoreline route unless it was an excusrion train. The only other Amtrak other than the Lake Shore on this route would have been The Bay State which has since been discontinued and usually only had 2 or 3 cars.

  • Phase 3 paint scheme and only heritage coaches. I'd estimate it was mid 90's.

  • @trinityct

Not to mention there are no Phase IV cars in sight, and the 200 would have been converted to an NPCU by then.

  • @jonniealco This couldn't have been taken around 2000. The FRA required all engines have ditch lights in 1995, and there would've been viewliners and other phase 4 equipment on the Lakeshore in 2000, so this must've been filmed before 1995.

  • Well Done!!!

  • at 0:19 u can now see y amtrak trains derail
