Bible & Marriage

Marriage is becoming such a hot topic in the Christian church and is often misunderstood in terms of biblical context. This vaguely talks about what the Bible says and doesn't say about marriage. It is more of an invitation to my blog where I look at the texts closely and share what God has delivered to me as understanding.

The bible did not say specifically that two men can't be married, from what I know.. but what I DO know is that same gender sexual intercourse is not allowed and is written in the bible. This most likely means that marriage is not accepted by god between two people of the same sex because you are supposed to have sex with your spouse. It says that man should pleasure his wife and his wife should pleasure him when desired. It does not state man should pleasure wife or man, vice versa.

@lovethatblaze Male-to-male sexual intercourse was 'condemned' (for lack of a better term) in the Bible because of cultural and social understandings of gender and power during this time period. It has nothing to do with actual sexual orientation at all.

@smurfboywv So, the issue is NOT whether or not MAN wrote The Bible -- OF COURSE MAN WROTE it! Duh! Just like MAN writes THE QUARAN, THE VEDAS, SCIENCE, POLITICS, HISTORY ("his story"), DARWINISM (evolution -- yes, Darwin is a MAN! He never saw a money turn to man with his own eyes!). So, if you are dissin the BIBLE and rejecting THE BIBLE based solely upon the FACT that MAN WROTE IT. Honey, you must REJECT ALL THINGS IN THIS LIFE! Even the junk you believe because MAN WROTE THAT TOO! :)

There is no PROOF on this. You are going by FAITH in what they "tell you" is TRUTH. All things in this life stem from MAN. The question and the issue is, under WHAT UNCTION, WHAT SPIRIT, WHAT INFLUENCE, WHAT INSPIRATION is that MAN under? GOD TALKS AND WALKS WITH MAN --- those that are OPEN to HIS HOLY SPIRIT.

@smurfboywv No argument. You must decide if you simply believe THE BIBLE IS GOD'S WORD and IF HIS WORD and HIS SON IS THE WAY, THE TRUTH & THE LIFE. You are entitled to not accept that. But, I accept it. So, for me there is no argument. If you have an "argument" then perhaps you are not quite "settled" on what it is that you truly believe. It's as simple as that.

Which says that it is not a SIN. That's your belief. But, I TRUST GOD'S WORD. That one can change. That one can be Born-Again in Christ Jesus that the Sin of Homosexuality is indeed SIN because it is NOT GOD'S WILL for yours or anybody's life. But, that it is a part of MAN'S FALLEN NATURE. You either BELIEVE GOD, BELIEVE HIS SON JESUS CHRIST, BELIEVE THEIR WORD IS TRUE... OR... You don't. It's as simple as that. No argument. I TRUST HIS WORD IS TRUE. You do not. It is simply what JEHOVAH GOD requires and HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON -- THE ONLY TRUE LORD & SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST commands -- That Men love your WIVES as CHRIST JESUS LOVES THE CHURCH, women (wives) submit yourself to YOUR HUSBANDS as unto THE LORD. The Bible and The Lord Jesus Christ does not tell men to love men as Christ loves the Church NOR tell women to submit themselves to another woman as unto Him. That is why Homosexuality is OUT OF ORDER.

@smurfboywv JESUS AND THE BIBLE CLEARLY STATES IT: THE LORD JESUS CHRIST says in MATTHEW: "Have you not read, that from the beginning God created them male and female and for this cause shall a man leave his father and mother and cleave to His wife and the twain shall be ONE flesh." Jesus Christ NEVER gives any "alternative" to this as He reminds people even in that time about WHY MARRIAGE is important and whom MARRIAGE is for. He never says Male and Male shall be ONE flesh or two females.
