The cat doesn't like so much that he could not be persuaded to be a "re-enactor" :P

@xatleighx - Thanks for your response. I'll check this out my next visit to HF. That was quite a leap the cat took into the garden lol. So that was all you used, a bucket, motion detector and the fountain? Best regards

@johnlvs2run We bought everything at Harbor Freight Tools for about twenty bucks. Any old bucket will do so all we needed to buy was the cheap little fountain pump and motion detector. After that, it's just a matter of making sure the bucket has enough water in it to operate. We were very happy with the result.

I've been searching and searching for something like this! I'm trying to keep chickens out of my garden but don't want to fence either. (And I don't want to shell out over $50 for a sprinkler.) Can you PLEASE tell me the equipment you used?

That is Awesome
Can you sell me one?

It works great! Not only does the cat not want to get wet... he doesn't like the sprinkler noise. And we get our garden watered. It might work for other garden critters too.
Not bad, our best deterrent was a huge buck rabbit who seemed to think he was a long eared pit bull. He beat the living spit out of every cat who dared to enter the garden until they all avoided it like the plague. He was a little disturbing though as we actually found him trying to drag one by the scruff of it's neck into his cage. I hate to think what for so maybe an auto sprinkler might be a better solution.

Did you tape your microphone to a stethoscope?

@RabidLarmer No, you should check your sound settings. Also, you might want to make sure you haven't been drinking before posting to public forums.
