Classic Game Room HD reviews HYPER CHASE for Vectex from 1982. This old school driving game has remarkably smooth gameplay and a crushing difficulty level. Fans of Enduro on Atari 2600 will get a kick out of this arcade style racer where you get points for distance traveled and cars passed. Play a time trial mode where you drive the single segment of road for the best time. Hyperchase uses smooth vector based graphics to deliver an amazing driving experience from 1982 as you dodge oncoming vehicles with quick reaction times. This CGR review of Hyper Chase has gameplay from Hyper Chase on Vectrex showing Hyper Chase game play in HD video. CGR reviews Vectrex games as a Vectrex reviewer who has reviewed Hyper Chase on Vectrex.

  • I was at a local trade place and said "Do you guys have a Turbo Grafx?" and told my story about it (you can read it on the Turbo Grafx/Pad review that was just uploaded.

    "Nope.."

"Well the only other thing I would get on the spot would be.. Oh, I dunno, a vectrex."

"Seriously? A guy just dropped one off and not even take any cash for it but our manager wants to take it home with him.."

"I'll give you $70 in cash right now for it."

"... ok then, i'll just tell him it didn't work. Give."

  • That is downright beautiful. What 2600 Night Driver should have been. The shear beauty that Vector Graphics were. And, be mindful that the source code is so small, ten thousand Vectrex games could have fit in one of our modern printer drivers.

  • Damn! Check out the amount of detail that it's in this Vectex game...

Tunnels, shrubs, Pine trees, round shaped trees, Electricity Poles, Lamp posts, barriers, Rocky Hills and bends.

Thats impressive for a game thats only 4K back then.

  • I'll say the steering is touchy; moving my stick more than 1/3 over sends me careening into a wall. If only the sides of the track just slowed you down like in Pole Position...

  • I like Vectrex because itr has infinite resolution. Vector graphics. Take that PS3!

  • @dajokaman759 **you're

  • @suckithardnfast because your probably 300 pounds bitch.

  • Yep, forget about Gran Turismo 5, and forget about Forza 4.

    This is the REAL DEAL!!

  • I actually still have mine and it still works. I lost the games to it over the years. My game is about 30 years old. I love playing it good game.
