i was there last year ! and did the dave murray it's really hard . it dosnt lok like it there , i was racing it adn ended up in hospital with a broken neck and a two week long concussion ... its not as easy as it looks here
-
its not pretty steep, the downhill runs in europe such as la face and in wengen are much steeper, north american ski runs are rather complimentary
-
@mally411 I ski this all the time, there is one flat section, by the orange fences on the right. Otherwise the run is pretty steep, especially the section right after that.

no, you'd stop and start getting overly confused by the intricate patterns of the nearby trees, and snow, and clouds, and your skis, clothes, hands =S

Rendering.... cool - looks like skiing on acid

3 seconds in and you are at over 60 mph. If you have ever wagged a camera around on a mountain, you know the camera flattens everything out when facing it head-on (down or up). The Dave Murray downhill drops over 1km vertical in just 2.40kms, and is the second longest downhill course on the planet. Any Olympic downhill is steep, man. Whistler is one of the most challenging.

Uh-huh, sure you could. Let me guess, some bad break that you blame on someone else of course, prevented you from making the US ski team.
I created this video and it was agreed by all who work with me on different projects that it looks rather tame as opposed to what it looks like in real life. The reason behind this is that we created a 70 degree field of view. Video cameras regularly shoot at about 30-35 degree field of view and the human eyes focuses on much less. That give the video a very flat look as opposed to the way we see it in real life.
