What if the father was a verbally and physically abusive jackass who drilled nothing but negativity into his son's head? In that case, can you blame the son for turning out to be nothing but a dismal failure in life? You can't help but feel sorry for the son when you consider all the bullshit he's had to deal with.

Wow. I'm glad Savage's father was so tough on him. And I am (almost) glad that mine was not. I turned out a wimp and a pushover ---ALMOST. You see, LIFE itself has a way of toughening a person up.
