  • That fifth wheel really isn't all that big, it appeared to be right sized to me, have to look in the truck manual to see for sure though. Nice to see that Aussies have access to and head out RV'ing too!

  • It's not only what a truck can pull but one has to consider the GCWR and the pin weight would far exceed that. Brakes - axles- Trans - frame are all not strong enough for this 5 th wheel. I see uneducated people pulling to large of RV'S just because they will untill something breaks and the truck's driver lose's control & crashes. Common sense is lacking here. Cheers

  • @thebulldog84 the global ranger is far more capable truck than the US version. Compare the specs

  • @fomocowboy.....it's smaller than a half ton. I highly doubt that trailer isn't equipped with its own brakes, so I wouldn't be terribly worried about brakes as long as they're adjusted correctly. I doubt that truck has the payload to tow such a trailer. Even if the payload exceeds the tongue weight of that trailer, it's the trailer alone with no gear. Passengers and a full fuel tank in the truck need to be figured in there too. I don't give the rear suspension long........

  • @MySaltyone i believe the problem is less the horsepower as it is the trucks ability to control the weight and torsion the rv could potentially apply to the truck, as well as stopping power

  • @superduck714 those little nissan are not so little anymore,,and they have 260 h.p in them and really pull more than youd think and as far as the camper it is a little to heavy for the truck. the nissan pulling cap,,is 6,500 and the camper that size is almost 6,000 puonds,,im sure its fine unless you wana go 80 on the interstate.

  • Now try a 5th wheel with more toungue weight...

  • You let a girl drive? SMH

  • 1- The website is not available.

2- Is the fifth wheel only a half ton( 500KG) weight ? if yes then why the truck find it hard to pull it? 500kg is only a half small car weight (toyota corolla is 1 ton).

I used a car with 1500 cc to pull another car 1 ton, for more than 50 mils. on a road with 7 and 8 degrees of edgs... what i'm looking for is there some different things in pulling with trucks or when pulling the fifth wheels?

  • @thegoof529 It wont for long...
