Honduran Fans Upset

2010 World Cup Qualifier US plays Honduras at Soldier Field in Chicago, IL June 6, 2009. The Honduran fans get upset at a yellow card and show their disapproval. This is after they had their initial stint of beer throwing that was more intense than filmed here.

They all threw beer spewed on us fans. beat us fans, and one us fan recounted that when landon donovan was about to take a corner kick, the man drank his beer, made himself throw it up back into the cup, then pissed in it and threw it and landon. mexicans are the worst.

Well, I would agree with American journalists that the atmosphere at Azteca stadium got out of hand against the Americans. What I was trying to say is that the Mexican sports commentators were disgusted and embarrassed by that particular behavior, and they made it a point to talk about it in all the major Spanish language networks...Televisa, TV Azteca, ESPN Deportes, etc... I just wished that more Salvadoran and Honduran journalists would come out and condemn that type of behavior.

Where was this? Mexico City? Anyways, I'm sorry that it did happened. Nevertheless, you should know that Mexicans have been the victim of violence every single time they play a qualifer in either El Salvador or Honduras. In 1993, TEAR GAS WAS THROWN INTO THE MEXICAN PLAYERS' LOCKEROOM FORCING THEM TO COME OUT ONTO TO THE FIELD HALF NAKED!!!! I'm as passionate about soccer as the next guy but violence must be dealt with and condemned in every pitch from Mexico City to London and all over.
