  • It's called VVVF (Variable Voltage, Variable Frequency). Many AC Traction Railcars make sounds similar to this.

  • sorry, i meant the Keihin Kyuko line.

  • in fact this car is from the Keikyu (Keihin Tohoku) Line, which is a private railway.

    in Japan, some upper ground trains go directly through subway lines, which makes it easier to get to downtown from suburbs...
