I want voters to know that I'm running for Oregon. I grew up here and I know where we've been and where we need to go as a state to create a better future for our children. The passion and knowledge I have isn't something you can get from just shaking hands as you're running for office. You get it from getting to know people over time, from shared struggle and accomplishment, and I'm the only candidate who brings this experience in the race to be Oregon's next governor.

  • I like Cannon Beach, random people looking at me, bamboo fishing poles, AND John Kitzhaber, but this ad is pretty much completely vapid otherwise.

"We need to create more jobs and let people know Oregon is open for business!"

Viewer: "Agreed, sounds great! Now how do you propose we do that!"

"Uhh.... Hey, bring up those violins, Paul! Drown out the questions, cut to the tagline!"

  • @naverepooc thanks for watching the spot - and for your feedback. For detailed information about Kitzhaber's strategy for economic prosperity in Oregon, check out the Jobs plan on our website. (from the campaign)

  • John is clearly the right choice.

  • Never trust a man with a mustache.

  • Noone is buyin this bullshit anymore John. You're Fired!!!

  • Retread shit slobber...

    No thanks...

  • Dudley has this wrapped up.

  • Why are you trying to stop people from filming public events?

  • @johnkitzhaber we can guess... using tax hikes to compensate the democrat trend of "spend, spend spend... let's hope throwing money at the problem works!"

We all see how "well" our state run programs work. You need to cut debt, not create more. Let the creative minds of 3,000,000 "wonderful, innovative" Oregonians put their money to use instead of spending it on a flawed Economic Development Department.

I don't think either party has a sound economic policy. Then again, I am Libertarian.

  • Go Kitz!

  • Nice, but kind of fluffy. I trust there will be more substance in future ads. You need to hit the issues hard and show were you're right and your opponent is wrong.
