pretty good info. I just got one and loaded windows 7 on it, but the buttons to rotate the screen, lock the pc, don't work now. I did a clean install of win 7 and trying to download some of the software from Dell.

This rocks, i have it, but N-trig (Touch and pen provider) doesn't support there customers when there are problems, the most common is Cannot Connect to driver, failure to open device, i had to reinstall my os, and it still didn't work and its not even sensing the duosense screen. I have to get a new screen now, ???

But not on PDF, i think, i never tried, i know if you copy and paste it to Windows Notebook or micorsoft word, better on Windows Journal though

Yes, i have this, you can

I like the hp one better

Can you use Microsoft Word in Laptop mode and still draw on it, after taking a paragraph of notes? I'd also love to know about PDF's and printscreens. It'd be insanely awesome if you could write/draw notes on PDF's, hit printscreen and have it as an image.

Great review, just ordered one from the dell outlet store.
lol cool bird
soo~
it has multi touch and all but you say you only get 2 hours of battery without the extra chunky battery attachment? and you say
the Hp has 4 with the power-saving (which would be pretty standard fare)
was the HP touch screen really that un-responsive?
oh and also, the speakers. just how bad/good is the audio quality? and how loud do they get?

speaker(/s) is good quality. Not extra special. Same quality as tx2500z. Same loudness.
power saving with normal battery you can probably get 4 hours. 8 hours with Slate battery attachment.
HP's touch screen is good but it's probably half as good as the Latitude's. HP's you can't drag and drop easily with your finger because you have to press down hard on the screen. Normal clicks are ok.
On XT dragging is no problem. You just have to glide finger over screen.

What about when you want to use the pen in Microsoft OneNote? I usually hold my hand ON the screen ( like on the regular notebook). Isn't the multitouch screen confused about where to point - the pen or hand that is holding the pen?

the pen tells the screen to reject any other entities present.
