The Rock WWE Smackdown VS Raw 2011 Return Entrance

On the February 14, 2011 episode of Monday Night Raw, The Rock was revealed as the Host of Wrestlemania XXVII, appearing live on Raw for the first time in almost seven years. During a lengthy promo that ran 20 minutes over the usual Raw end time, The Rock addressed the fans, Michael Cole, The Miz, and even John Cena.[108]
The Rock returned live on the March 28 edition of Raw, confronting Cena. After a war of words between John Cena and The Rock The Miz came down and after a distraction by The Miz, Cena laid out The Rock with the Attitude Adjustment.[109]

On April 3 at WrestleMania XXVII, The Rock started the show, as the guest host of WrestleMania, he cut a short promo, mentioning that this years WrestleMania would be the greatest Wrestlemania of all time. Throughout the night, The Rock was seen with many people backstage, one of them being Stone Cold Steve Austin and another being Mae Young. Later that night, in the main event between John Cena and The Miz for the WWE Championship, The Miz was able to hold on to the belt via double count out. The Rock approached the ring and stated that WrestleMania would not end that way and that it was "time the people got what they want". He restarted the match as a no disqualification match and gave John Cena a Rock Bottom letting The Miz win. Afterwards, The Rock hit The Miz with The People's Elbow and ended the show.[110] The next night on Raw, Johnson and Cena had a confrontation in the ring and agreed to wrestle each other at Wrestlemania XXVIII on April 1, 2012 in Miami.[111] This marked the first time that a WrestleMania match was agreed to a year in advance of the show.
