crossing the border between austria and germany.the best border crossing experience of my life since i live in canada,to cross into the u.s is the worst experience compared to europe.you need a passport, they check your car to see if they can collect some tax from you and ask a lot of personal questions.if the crossing guard does not like your face, you can not cross.in most of europe, you just drive in and nobody bothers you.that's the way most europeans like it.

  • Thats NOT a boder its a closed booth toll, haha you got busted!

  • It's not a closed toll booth,in Austria you buy an autobahn/hiway sticker before entering Austria and if your leaving Austria to enter Germany the autobahn/hiway is free there. This is the old border where you had to stop for customs.

  • @sarahnofear PFFF, border crossing my ass. Thanks to the EU-regime's incompetent policies any criminal or terrorist can now move freely around europe withouth beeing stopped. Just like the terrorist sympathisers in Brussel wants.

  • @MrMellingen The United States is hard to get into (I know from experience) and still 9-11 happened.A person is not a terrorist until he does something,by then its usually too late.I like crossing the borders in Europe without the border hassles or treated like a possible terrorist/criminal where borders exist.Let freedom rule!As for criminals, the biggest ones are in politics because they take half my wages for themselves and their wars and leave a little bit for society.

  • wait wait wait between what contrys you can do that is this becaus of the europ union ?if it is i'm suprised

  • At least 12 E.U. countries (about)that you can cross like this without stopping.

  • :-) canadians and americans :-) go little more east (Slovakia / Ukraine border) they wont even let you in either direction... these arent borders, this you can compare to border between new jersey and new york...

  • @lasorra Norway, Sweden, Finland, Iceland, Denmark, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Spain, Portugal, Switzerland, Austria, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Czech Republik, Slovakia, Hungary, Slovenia and Greece. Later this year also Romania and Bulgaria

  • @Lucassandro25 fairly easy lol...except they're trying to make it harder to do so...

  • @Lucassandro25: HAH, at first, I thought you said "20 degrees F", and I was like, WTF? Why would you need sunscreen for freezing weather!? Hahah. Then I realized, oh, that's like 70ish degrees F. Almost.

I don't think we're going to Barcelona... it's too out of the way. We will be going to Madrid, for sure.

I also heard it's very dry there, maybe because of the nearby desert. :3

  • @iloveroxasaxeldemyx i've once been in Spain (Barcelona), it's a beautiful country!

and it's a bit exotic for people who never went to europe ;)

i hope that you'll enjoy your stay there :D

ps:( even in february the temperatures can go up to 20°C, so prepare sunglasses and some sunscreen lol)

  • @Lucassandro25: Wow... that's funny. XD

In some places, say if you're hiking, you can get from the US to Canada like that, but it's not really legal, I think? Ya have to go through some sort of security check thing. Blegh.

OH! But I'm so happy, I'm flying to Spain in February!! :D I cannot WAIT to get out of this country and see a different one! I've never been overseas! The farthest was Costa Rica! Sooo excited. :D

  • @iloveroxasaxeldemyx i can hardly imagine how it must be to cross the US/CAN border as I never experienced something like that :( , i'm french and when I go to Germany I sometimes forget that I just went to another country. There's only a small sign that marks the border lol

  • @oneiropagides German and Austria are NOT states. They are both two independent countries. That is a border between two countries, like China and Russia or like USA and Mexico has their borders. But the difference is that there are no customs/border control at the border anymore.
