This really reminds me of Ft Collins. It has to be CO somewhere right? Front range area? My guess is Boulder.

I like to swim, cycle, and do gymnastix barefoot, but not run on concrete barefoot, because that makes peoples' soles of their feet turn black! That looks too weird, to my eyes anyway

Love this video!! Wonderful. And yes, barefoot running it a totally different "landing" and we don't land on the heel like when we wear running shoes. It's a whole different posture and landing. I run jog and hike barefoot, but since I like being in the woods it's usually on rocky mountain trails here in New Mexico. I LOVE it. So freeing, so healthy, so aware, so alive. I think their are a lot of barefoot women runners, joggers, hikers, etc, although they just may not be known.

i wish i had a nice place like that to run

zola budd had to stop running from injuries idiots. i wonder how she got these injuries?

People don't seem to even be surprised at barefoot runners in America. Over here in Aus, its alot different..........

@cocteautwinsfan you seriously didnt catch the sarcasm???

@Longlostd heel striking always causes more impact and its hard to forefoot strike in regular running shoes. I think I would probably bite the dirt if I ran for very long in the stability shoes I have trying to forefoot strike.
"Finally"?! Let's not forget Zola Budd.

Of course not! What a legend! And we also hear there is an Australian female barefoot runner who ran up a 14er in Colorado and others who are running marathons. One of our main points though is that you don't have to be an elite athlete to go barefoot. By "finally" we're referring to the lack of mention of females. All of the barefoot youtube videos we've seen are of men. PS: There's a great documentary on Zola Budd on one of our playlists.
