I think they were on the radio from about 1925-31.
Sam Lanin was quite famous though, apart from the Ipana Troubadours - and we still love his records 70 years later! What could be a better tribute?

Thanks Idasynco. That melancholy in this song also puts spell on me. I could listen and listen to this tune - especially, when standing by the window with a glass of brandy, and looking on faraway... well, willows, ofcourse :-)
