@ACLTony Glad you like it, thanks. I did in fact check those subway photos from 60s-70s at the time I illustrated this. I'm sure one of them did have a black roof, and I adopted that. Perhaps it was added to -some- actual cars. The era of the photos of the Redbirds varied. As for the numbering, it just artistic-license; taking bits from several sources that would work on my train, and also, making it a '4' train only because it was to be an ID clip for Ch-4 NY.
Only meant to be a representation.

@bmulla1560 - MSTS1, to piggyback off of Bmulla's comment; back then the numbers on the subways were larger and they were white numbers and letters on black backgrounds. Also, the redbird cars were all red and did not have black roofs. You can google NYC subway trains in the 60s and early 70s and see some good photos. But still, this is a very nice rendition.
