The power amplifier is fully discrete, and capable of 70 watts continuous average power, into 8 Ohms. It is the same core circuit, used in the 130w version. The separate pre-amplifier is used for convenience; both are self designed. Minor scratching noises are from the camera microphone being over-driven. Audio tracks used are from "U2 Rattle and Hum", "Talking Heads Popular Favorites 1976-1992" and Ludwig Beethoven's Pastoral sonata Op. 28.
@Multisynchronizer hi multi, thank you. it does have a 100pf cap across the base and collector of the class-a driver before the complimentary outputs, but is only to limit the frequency @ 100khz. it is otherwise made to be linear. i don't work on amplifiers as much these days, but parts of this circuit may be used in a professional design later.

Just seen this vid...
Nice Chris, very clean sound - mids are articulate and vivid, which is always great for the stereo reproduction, enhancement and getting that realistic sound. Do you decouple near the transistors on the split voltage rail with dry type capacitors? Polypropylene caps (around 1nf to 100nf depending on taste) works well to subtlety fine tune the overall sound.
Anyhow this amp sound real good, good job.
