@morabeza1 Have you ever seen Brazilians dancing samba? Because I have, I went to Brazil and witnessed it with my own eyes. And it's the same dumb step all over again!!!!!! Be grateful to International Latin Dancers to evolve this dance to where it is today!
BAM!!!!

@morabeza1 You're not doing your proper research - this is Samba. This is NOT Brazilian Samba in any way, shape, or form, however. This is Ballroom International Showdance Samba, a highly competitive and streamlined form of the dance that bears rhythmic and motion connections to some of the original Brazilian forms. I'm sick of Brazilians always complaining that there's no connection to the original. Study the movement!

they have such great movement!

You could call this Hip Hop. Or Tap Dancing. Or Splashing in the Rain. It's just as close to those as it is to Samba. Why do trained dancers insist to call this kind of dancing Samba when absolutely nothing about it is Samba?
-
@Mirellasereia You are correct.
-
@Popino09 Samba is Brazil. Brazil is samba. This is something totally different that does not even resemble samba. It should at least be close to have the same name.
