Mouth-feeding wild animal species isn't natural.
This is a pet, being fed, by a human, and this has got absolutely nothing to do with the natural cycle - it's that simple, and it's okay.

@savetheminnows39 Newsflash- This is natural. Wild garter snakes eat anything they can fit into their mouths. They eat beetles, worms, birds, FISH, mice, spiders, lizards, and like a million other things. Not to mention, minnows get stuck in little puddles all the time. That's when snakes and other predators move in.
