Great video! When you feel depression creeping in, what are the things you do?

Google "How I Deal With Mental Breakdowns" . I wrote this on my blog "Rayne's World" a few years ago. I don't think I can post a link in this reply, otherwise I would.

I hear what your saying, but I think some of us need meds to function. And I am one of those people.Either that or become a news paper headline.

I hear what you are saying, too. I believe in personal choice when it comes to meds. I'm glad you know what works for you.

Your story is very interesting. I have had similar experiences with antidepressants. For years my psychiatrist told me that the early tricyclic medications were benefiting me but I think that most of the benefit came from the placebo effect of my trust in him. Prozac did have a remarkable effect, but it soon diminished , just as you also experienced. The public is taught that medication is THE answer, but I have found more benefit in meditation and the Wellness Recovery Action Plan.

You're welcome, oz. It's been a while since I shared any of my story. But I know that others can relate, and some haven't heard of these side effects or even the concept of imformed consent!

Thank you very much for sharing again, Jayme. While I am not against meds, the helpless feeling of you need these for your life because you're broken is terrrible, especially when the drugs just make you worse, as they seem to for so many.
