@teasymphony When something seems so incomprehensible its often political. I think there's a prejudice because he is a Brit. If he was a Hollywood actor he would have 7 oscars by now. We're domestic-oriented, not international-- its like the country holding the Olympics would prefer one of their own get the gold if they could justify it. Recent U.K supporting awards are over a decade apart, Christian Bale-2010, Michael Caine-1999, Sean Connery-1987. And the odds are worse with other countries!

I wish they would let us hear some of the things that dear Ralph is saying...

Had the privilege of watching him do live theater in Brooklyn, and he was amazing in Richard II,,Also a very nice, shy person off-stage...Definitely overlooked by Hollywood standards,,has deserved an Oscar for far too long...Been giving us fabulous performances since Schindler's List..Also,he's quite charming:)

I adore him!

I can't believe he hasn't won an Oscar. He is a fabulous actor.

@teasymphony It's beyond me how he didn't receive the Oscar for his role of Amon Goeth in Schindler's List.

I simply can't stop smiling whenever I see Ralph Fiennes.

@loyalqueen True, but so was he.

@teasymphony - Oscars are meaningless now. There are so many Oscar winners that should return their award as in Halley Berry, Adrien Brody, Rene Zellwegger, Jamie Foxx, Jennifer Connelly et al. None of these actors have given us a great performance since winning and Oscar.
How this man doesn't have an Oscar yet is beyond me. He's phenomenal.
