@TheRedHelm I think anyone who vouches for Stevenson understands that the question is who plays the Punisher better, not which movie was better written. And sorry, but Ray Stevenson simply looks 100 times better as Frank Castle/Punisher than Thomas Jane. Yes, he needs to be in a Punisher movie that is better written and directed, but as far as casting goes, Stevenson is pretty spot-on... My vote goes to Ray Stevenson hands down.

Anyone that vouches for Stevenson doesn't understand that beneath the action and gunfights the Punisher is a human, in Warzone it is revealed Frank has been collecting family treasures and such but this directly conflicts with both the comics and the Jane version. In both versions, Frank cuts all ties with the past to be a stronger and more devoted vigilante. However in Jane's version there are emotional conflictions and you actually feel sympathy for Frank, in Warzone it's all macho and gore.

@NukeDavis, JAne loves the Punisher a lot more and would come back for the TV series I'm sure. He also has the chops and physicality to be a great Punisher, but I agree, the script and movie and direction itself made it suffer. Same with Warzone to a degree. I think Lexi Alexander is talented, but tried to go too macho on it.

IF Ray Stevenson were to come back I Would hail that as well. But I don't think he has the same love for Frank that Tom does, which is a huge plus for Tom.

Ray Stevenson but well gotta take into consideration that he had a proper director behind him and Thomas Jane didn't, he had ppl that wanted another superhero movie instead of sticking to the grim gory storyline as the comics. In janes defense he wanted the movie more in a "taxi-driver" direction. But well with looks and personality its deffo Ray that goes home with the price as best Frank Castle.

People are not taking into consideration the time line here. Obviously Stevenson was the more experienced Punisher only because Jane was JUST becoming the Punisher. Therefor Stevenson is better if you look at it like that.

To me that are both Frank Castle. There is no difference.
