This is fabulous on SO many levels. 1980 Beverly Hills, New York, the cast, the clothes, the cars, the dialogue and the super fantastic score that went along with it. I love how the final scene ends with the twirl of Val, the embrace and the exciting prospect of the next chapter as the strings and chords take the shmaltzy love theme to the end credits . Buy it now on amazon DVD. Great!!! Thanks for the post.

I loved this series and Lindsay Wagner. What I was referring to was the drinking of alcohol while pregnant, which as we know today is not a good thing. That sensibility was unknown when this show was made. Look how often Samantha and Darren drank on Bewitched.

If you ever read the book, the lead character started out poor, lost her beloved husband, was used and abused and finally found love. That book was so long that we wanted the main Character Billy to have a happy ending!!! As in all Judith Krantz's novels there was enough bedroom scenes to make a pregnancy necessary.

Wish someone would upload this fab series!

@Pattilynne53 Irrelevant! This clip was totally, and only, about the tv series and was never intended to be a comparison with the actual Judith Krantz novel! Few movies stay true to the book - but people do still love and enjoy the Hollywood interpretations. All movie credits always state the movie is just "based" on the novel!!!

In defence of all you lovers of this series!! If you( lluthra) had watched the entire series, you would know that Billie was happily married, her husband had just won an Oscar, and they were both ready to start a family. So, after a succesful store opening etc. along with the good news that she was pregnant, it seemed perfectly fitting to toast the future with champagne! i call that good.
