No, love doesn't run, even caring about someone has the same rules. And anyone with any type of character stands by that. They also trust that those feelings will help see them through whatever challenges there may be to face. Sadly people tend to think that they are being magnanimous and being good to the one they care about by 'sacrificing' what they may want when they are, in fact, hurting themselves and the other party when that person maybe the one meant to help make the situation better
