  • Info about the velomobiles we carry can be found on our "bluevelo" website. We are also now producing a model called the Team. With current exchange rates it is priced at about $6,200 US.

  • There isn't much of a risc in people not seeing you. It's the double take effect that is the biggest risc. Drivers see you and have to take a double take and wonder what it is they are seeing. Kinda like when the first cars were put on the road.

It happens to me a lot here. You see them take a double take.

  • god video

  • @yourpsychic actually they will. mainly because of it's size: it's alot bigger than normal bikes and maybe some other velomobiles. I'm also sure in bight yellow, red, neon green, or orange that would also help being seen.

  • badass :) love it and wish I could afford one. very nice vid.

  • Riding one of these on a bike trail would be great but on a street make sure you have extra insurance because the motorists are not going to see you. Sure suicide!

  • The hand-built body is very labour-intensive and I guess that the bodywork alone costs as much as all the other parts together (apart from the electric assist parts, like hub motor and battery). The HPV-world is still waiting for a company that is willing and able to invest in developing a mass-produced velomobile.

  • what are the most costly parts of the product?

  • 37MPH

  • Earthlings: It might be a fortune on money, but a few months ago when gas was 5 bucks a gallon -- a 25 gallon tank adds up for the average amount of gas a person uses in a year. I think it would quickly compensate.
