  • why do most truck companies deny hiring when havent been driving truck for more than a year but have at least 4 years experience otr already?

  • @curiousboyful Well put yourself in the companies shoes and entertain the issue.

The natural question would be to ask why the break, what happened.

I don't knw if there is an insurance issue too though. Some people do loose their skill pretty quick but it does seem that after a certain number of years experience it would matter so much.

I guess you can tell by now that I am guessing the answer, lol. Sorry I couldn't tell you from a more formal position.

    I had to speculate

  • I love the way you broke things down in this video im thinking about becoming a driver. who do you drive for?

  • @insearchofbbw my pleasure. I drive for Caldwell but you have to have 3yrs experience to get on.

  • Good shit my nigga u broke it down for us knucleheads, this just what i needed , felt like u was talking to me , good lookin man.

  • this was really helpful. thanks for sharing.

  • Thank you for breaking it down. I leave for CDL Training in a few days and am gathering all the info I can.

It is inspiring knowing that after a year, pay, experience and other avenues open up. I'm going to save this and show my wife.

  • Brother, im thinking strongly thinking about trucking, im in Houston, please let me know what the hardest points to learning how to drive. Is shifting very difficult?

  • I used to do day cab, I prefer to drive the road, to much hasle to get back everyday.

Slip seat, if you get paid by the hour and none union, they watch your hours closely, union they lay you off in the winter. Getting paid miles, they dont care how many hours you run. Dont be so hard up for JB, they have way to many rules, look for a local trucking company, you will be treated better.

  • @TheDarkrider1991 you need to be 21, see if your state has a program to retrain you as a trucker, you may not have to pay anything. When you hit 21, you can go with most any noob hireing company.

  • You've got a great perspective on this trucking thing. Thanks for posting.

  • much respect for the video man. thank you for all the info.

  • Do you ever drive your truck with your shoes off?
