Animation made with subLOGIC's Flight Simulator and Jet programs on the Commodore 64. I got pretty good at flying between the twin towers of the World Trade Center.

The original frame rate was something like 1 fps; each frame was recorded on Super-8 film and projected back at 18 fps, so this video is approximately 18 times faster than the original program.

  • @HardWarUK No, it was filmed on a Super-8 camera: each frame of the game was captured on one frame of Super-8 film.

  • This sis speeded up footage using an emulator

  • @legogenius: Not sure I remember that one, but I do remember Elite, which had fast vector graphics similar to Battle Zone.

  • @kmoser Thanks for clearing that up - what a cool idea :) The fastest vector graphics game I seem to remember on the '64 was Revs, which consumed much of my teenage years...

  • Surprisingly fast actually (frame rate). Is this actually old footage?
