Official Launch Video for the Galway Cycle 2008 in aid of Headstrong. Every year a group of over 100 people cycle across Ireland from the grounds of NUI Maynooth to Galway city to raise money for worthy causes. Joined by almost the same number of intrepid collectors, this gang of 200 strong people spend the weekend collecting money on the streets of Galway before cycling home again on Sunday! In 2008, €80,009 used to refurbish an old laundry in Mary St for the Jigsaw Initiative: providing a drop-in centre in Galway city for young adults to discuss any personal problems they may be going through. In 2009, over €67000 was raised for Cystic Fibrosis. The National Breast Cancer Research Institute (NBCRI) has been chosen as the charity for the Galway Cycle 2010.
