  • This video is incorrect with it's information. Why did the U.S. set up camp, in 1898, in Guam then evacuate in Oct. 1941 prior to the Japanese invasion Dec. 1941? They also, did not evacuate any Chamorros because they were NOT citizens?

    - The U.S. only came back to Guam to retrieve their "strategic location"

    - They needed Guam to land B52's

Please, DO real research and think for yourselves.

  • @jasetriplett "if a neighbor points a gun towards your house, what would you do ?" Shoot his Ass Down before he decides to pull the Trigger.

  • My "Aunt" told a story about how her entire family hid her behind them as they were gunned down in one of those lime stone caves and how she had to keep from screaming as bodies fell on top of her (she was 11) so she could escape after Japanese soldiers left them to rot. Just terrible...

  • @islandtransplant100 Oh man, that is terrible and thank you for sharing.

  • my grandparents were there during that time.

i was shocked 2 hear the stories they told me as a little kid. 0.0

  • My grandma was one of the survivors back then during that war. She said that her and her family were hiding in a cave in inalajan and the japanese found them and sent them back to manengon(or however you spell it)

They were punished and whipped. My grandma, somehow had a chance to escape. As she was running away, she could hear her family cry out for her. So sad. She ran and never looked back. If it wasn't for her escaping, my mother and uncles and aunties wouldn't be born, therefore I wouldn'

  • Truly Guam's heroes... Thank you!

  • I would like to thank all the Americans who fought for our freedom on that beautiful island where my parents and entire family was born and raised. So thank you all

  • @EvilFingers that's exactly what the Japanese did ;)

the U.S. setting up forces here in Guam, posed Guam as a threat, therefore, Guam became a target...so now you know why the Japanese invaded Guam.

    - did you know that the Chamorros made several attempts to request citizenship (1898 thru 1941) but was revoked.

    - did you know that in1898, that many Chamorros were also opposed to the U.S. taking so much land...?

  • My grandma and grandpa were slaves of the Japanese.

And they was a rule; if you don't speak their language back to them, you'll get shot. And any other punishments; is very cruel.

But that was long, long time ago. We're already at peace. God bless America and God bless the island of Guam.
