@mercmarc I haven't really done any suspension tuning to it. The nose is too high and I have too stiff a shock in the front. most guys that are running real fast are cheating with drag shocks painted up factory colors. Among other things, lol. The noses on those cars jump up a foot when they launch. If I could get my 60ft down to the 1.9 area I'd be running a low 13 with a LS5. And if I could get the car to hook then maybe I'd think about a 3.73 gear.

@mercmarc Gear has some to do with it. You got to remember, it's hard to launch a 450 horse car with 4.56 gears on factory width radials. I run a 70 chevelle ls5 (360 horse) with a 3.31 gear and a 4 speed. The best any magazine could get with this car back in the day is a high 14 sec 1/4 mile in the mid 90'smph. I have done extensive tuning to the car (carb/distributor/advancing cam/ etc.) And the car now runs 13.94 @ 101. I think suspension plays probably the role. i only 60 ft a 2.2

What gear are these cars running is what id like to know. I think thats critical info for all these races. Anybody else agree?
