You have to be kidding. What caused this is DEREGULATION. These predatory lenders would get someone into a loan by giving them an good interest rate for a short time SO THEY COULD COLLECT THEIR COMMISSION then when the loans went to the REAL RATE these people could no longer afford the payment.
