its not about recording ... it's a safety hazard. fumbling around with a camera at this time during a jump isn't the smartest thing you should be doing.

@neylitalo Thank you for the thorough explanation. Cheers.

@NaxTactical The first platform has a second extraction chute attached to its forward end, which is connected to the second platform. The first platform is extracted, the second extraction chute breaks free from the first platform and inflates, and the second platform exits.

I have a question, I wear contacts so can I still fly one of these C-17 jets?

I have a question...
When the first sled is pulled out, it is pulled by an extraction parachute. But when the second sled is pulled out, it is pulled by a cable connected with the first sled, right?
So they are connected, but doesn't this couse problems during the fall?
Ofcourse I could be totally wrong with my entire theory, so feel free to correct me.
For some reason I can't find information on the web on how this is done...
Thank you, Nax

On behalf of the AF, I'm glad we could give the Army a little thrill before their own jump! :)

THats exactly y hummwv are used in the military and no other vehicals, becasue other vehicals can't handle the fall, even though the parachute helps a bit, it still bottoms out the hmmwv, how did u get that fotage?

Someone sneaked a camera onto a heavy drop jump. (Note how the Jumpmaster yells at him to put the camera away at the end)
