They have the Nextbus system in Bedfordshire England and it's rubbish.
A total waste of money.
The GPS machines on the buses are fine it's the inability of the Nextbus software to feed the information to the net.

Ive just looked this up because ive just got off a bus here in Christchurch New Zealand. Theyve got an excellent technology like this here, I just used my phone to see when the next bus would arrive, and theyve got electronic signs at the bus stop. I think the company that supplied it was called Connections, or similar. Great technology.

Why doesn't VTA have this? MUNI has it, AC Transit has it on some of its routes, as does the Emeryville-Go-Round.

Bedordshire system is not the American NextBus. I believe they spell it N.E.X.T.B.U.S. I don't know for what the letters stand.
