@AndyRaslan some people can learn the kung fu forms from dvds, but it requires already good basics and a lot of talent. anyway, masters from sanfeng pai are pretty ridiculous. most of them only trained like 3 years with zhong yunlong and then let themself grow a beard and open a school. and yuan xiugang was indeed trained in shaolin, and then came to wudang because of his knees (which were overtrained in shaolin and fucked up during work)
@34thshaolinstudent almost completely correct. If you don't know where to look, I would say this is true for 99% of the people in the world. And anyhow, secret doesn't mean better, so study what you can find, what the Universe gives you... it's what you are ready for. I have a former student who did Shaolin, barely could do the white belt stuff, but he kept at it... now this guy above is his teacher. If you are a sincere student even slapping mud can become something magical.
Heed my advice. Do not try to learn Kung Fu from a dvd. You'll never get it right. Trust me, the only way to properly learn kung fu is under the supervision of a master; DVD's and books are only good for people who already know the routine and want to improve it. Besides, before learning and sword forms, you should learn Wudang fist forms.
True. He studied Shaolin martial arts until he turned to Wudang kung fu. As for the reason, it would be impolite to reveal information about him that he did not reveal himself, so I will not say.
There's no more such thing as a secret "Style". For centuries, monks have been driven by curiousity & deliberatly switched schools, in order to learn & decipher the secrets styles of other rival schools & temples all over China - & that thing is still going on right now. U got Japanese monks going to Shaolin, Shaolin going to Wudang etc... & thats why u can't find "pure tradditional" Gongfu nowadays.
Of course @ frogafoot - u can't tell who could be next to u on earth or planet mars who knew this form - I'm a black shaolin warrior thaught by Shi Hengjun now based in Paris & all these Wudang Jian, Fangbian etc... are parts of my training routine. Did u know that, that guy in the above clip, Shi Mao is an ex Shaolin warrior?
don't know of an instructional one, but master bing (trained up about same time with this man)has released a dvd with lots of wudan traditional (and a bit er modified) forms on it.
he was selling them in china but never seen then on the net etc. sure you could track him down in cyber space somehow...

@AndyRaslan No doubt he found the Wudangshan material closer to the source than the state sanctioned wushu at Shaolin these days.

I agree. Maybe he was the first in his club to learn xuan men jian, but I believe there were many more before him.
