Janet Stewart & CBC = Horrible. Any guess why there last in the ratings?

Janet is the best!

That's a crock! She was dumped by CKY Winnipeg because of her dyslexia. She's a moron.

She makes me laugh, and I know, you shouldn't laugh at special people.....The worst part is that there are some really hot and talented female reporters who could replace her.

I believe someone is in the bad position of being on the last car of the not enough people around to get the newscast written properly express. Haste makes waste. I saw this same person in The Maritimes years ago.. never a mistake... everything went smoothly. In the end, a newsroom must have enough writers to make sure the words go together in the right way and the person at the camera has to have enough time to pre-read the entire newscast... so nothing ever comes out like that.
Janet Stewart has always had a problem with slurring - even back when she anchored the ATV Late Night news in the mid 90's. (If she has worked for the news before, I don't know it. lol)

@themaritimeman Makes me wonder how someone can get into TV or radio and not be able to speak well. Surely, that would be the main requirement. I don't think I'd want a surgeon who had unsteady hands or fainted at the sight of blood. Today the CBC hires people for their fame, not their skill.

@Replayer101 I haven't been to bed with her so I can't say if she's hot, but I know she's not so hot at reading and speaking at the same time.

This is true. We just have to find out what it is she's best at.

Yes, long ago the minimum requirement for an CBC anchor was the ability to read and talk at the same time. Today I have no idea what the standard is. It's easy to watch local CBC news programs on the Web from other cities and I haven't found any as amateur as ours. A real professional makes make mistakes rarely, and when they do they correct themselves quickly and carry on without drawing attention to the slip.
