@62946magic That is a wonderful story-thank you so much for sharing...here I am feeling sorry for myself because Im unemployed and you were fighting for yout life... Thank you again for showing what is really important :)
WOW EVERYONE THANKS, FOR SOME GOOD SUPPORT words for some people on here who are opening up their lives, their tough devils and monkees on their shoulders, it is good we DO have compassion for our fellow man and it shows here that there is support and good and wonderful words to encourage those and keep them keepin on and being strong. RIGHT ON TO ALL WHO gave those words of support to them who bare their souls here. RIGHT ON!!!

I was a you white dude when this song came out. Strung out on heroin and running with a black crowd in Boston(of course, back then they had the best stuff). No one ever stopped me to tell me that my life was going down the tubes. My g/f and I didn't see eye to eye anymore and I just got busted. No one ever talked to me except this song. The song told me that "things were gonna get better". Those lyrics were like a prayer to me. A constant mantra in my head. I am clean today for 26 yrs. Thanks Guys
