My deepest condolences to the Burke family relatives and friends on the loss of your loved one. " Ooh Child" was the song that lifted so much hope for many youth in the community. To this day, my grand children and youth in the community carry on the legacy of this song. It has inspired them to keep "Ooh Child" as a song of their heart for their better day coming.

I so agree with you, Growing up in the Projects, we hear this song and praise the Lord, I was lucky I got out, but there is one thing I know, is forgetting "NOT" forgetting where you came from and praying that the rest don't have to live in it. Projects have such a bad name and some horrible times, but I have to admit I have damn great and wonderful times. it is what it is, 5 stairsteps music made me look forward of better times and not be so damn poor, but momma help made us get through.

I hear this song and it reinforces the fact that things WILL GET BETTER, BRIGHTER AND EASIER. I say this now at age of double nickel, after death has tried four times to take me, I think of my CREATOR, and all he has for me to finish, and things will get easier....... so sad to loose Clarence, GOD BLESS YOU ALL and have a wonderful Blessed day.
