  • If i ground myself does that mean i cant go outside anymore?

  • i got a acer laptop for free the other week as it didn't work n was in bad shape. i stripped it down and got it working got a power supply and installed vista. works like a charm apart from its so so slow because of 1GB of ram. it maxes out the ram and then i get judder and lockup. i just had an additional 1GB of ram turn up today that is identical to the stick inside so i can dual channel. its in and running and is so so fast. i'm writing this on it right now :)

  • Lol, finally a video that shows how you actually ground yourself.

  • how do i take apart pieces of my computer and watch youtube tutorial to take it apart lol?

  • Laptop?

  • Is it possible to upgrade from this: 1 x 1024 mb ram (ddr3 pc3-10700)

    1 x 2048 mb ram (ddr3 pc3-10700)

    to this 2 x 4 Gb DDR3-1066 PC3-8500 CL7

  • how doyou do this with a notebook?

  • @Terraapples no, all that would do is increase drive space, the memory increases RAM (random access memory) but does not affect drive space

  • What?

  • Umm is there any way I could do this without messing up my pc? Like an external hard drive?

  • Wow. I wish I had known a long time ago how easy upgrading memory is and how big a difference it can make.

  • and in terms of your lag etc, yes i think you need a RAM upgrade + HDD upgrade + GPU upgrade.

Best option is to buy a whole new PC, most likely, but if not possible:

4GB RAM $40 + 1TB WD Caviar Black HDD $80 + GPU $anywhere from $150-300 for an very high spec one.
