  • Very cool indeed> I just finished the exact same project- I posted the making of online. Cost 40+30 postage+10 lights+ 10 paint+ 5 extra bulb coss my first one blew just as I had stuck the model together! Now I understand why they exposed the film 3 times in the movies, coss its hard to see both the sd and its lights in glorious detail without doing that method..... I dont have motion control riggs....boo.. Cool model but why the cable?

  • The cable is used to connect up to the battery pack so the thing lights up.

  • that was a cool video but, how much did it cost

  • I can't remember how much it cost - I've had it for quite a while...

  • how big is it?

  • The Star Destroyer is approx 37cm long x 20cm wide x 12cm high. Not the biggest model in the world, the fibre-optics were the main feature of it. TTFN.

  • @tarkinfish (CRY)(WIMPER) IT WASN'T MY FAULT! WAAA!.... RIP I.S.S. Tyranny...

  • @Darrosified You monster, 30,000 dedicated Imperial crew men and women along with hundreds of millions of Imperial credits worth of equipment crushed mercilessly at the ruthless hands of a giant.

  • I actually had this, but it got crushed under a bunch of boxes when I moved across town.

  • I actually have this kit, but found it way too inaccurate to actually complete it. But seeing the fibre optics you put in your's makes me want to built it.

  • Another kit I'm just finishing up on. Drilled about 600 windows and filled about 400 w/ fiber and around 50 leds. I gotta finish the paint job.

  • I used a standard kit, drilled countless, insulated it with thick acrylic and foil then inserted a flurecent bulb and then I realised I needed to fill all the gaps. It took forever. Unfortunatly I sold it on ebay. Although I do have sme pics.

    Nice work.
