@lacyjay2 not always true about the roping horses, i know 2 horses who have navicular and they were not ropers... one is my gelding, who was bred for cutting but never trained in it, the other is a QH retired eventer
-
Would you consider a lease?
-
@lingen37 PART TWO. the causes for navicular are repeated compression in the cartlidge on the front end (ropers) not the rear end, and when increased tension in the tendons on the cannon bones occur. way to make your self sound like an idiot. these horses are bred for slow movement and hock injuries are MUCH more present than your little navicular story so shut the hell up
-
@lingen37 PART ONE. you should realllllllyyy study up on your facts. obviously you know nothiung because navicular disease is NOT caused by slow movments! navicular is more present in roping horses than any other disciplined horse.

These movements are not natural. The four-beat lope is not natural; don't go around telling people that. Horses that move like this will get navicular in a few years. The horse has a good jog but his topline is ruined cause his head is held belows it's withers most the time. The horse doesn't have a happy expression. This horse is better than most, but it's still UN-natural.

@SnazzyDandy09 these horses are bred to move this way, they naturally want to go slow like this. It takes an incredible amount of collection and talent
-
I have one question,,, When does a horse move this way naturally ?? I am not saying anything bad, as you and your horse move beautifully together..
