Actually, I think this is "Deception", a Miles Davis arrangement of "Conception." Eric A. would be a hard guy to share the stage with, as he's a heavy. And this is a complex tune at a fair clip. That said, his solo here, while very accomplished, is repetitive and he doesn't say anything new after the first 2 choruses. What's the date of this recording? Eric looks pretty young here.
@decus69 Truth. If I am playing a gig with Eric Alexander, I would be practicing A LOT beforehand so I can at least keep up with him and don't embarrass myself.
Hard to do in the original key. Best to transpose it like these guys.
