First of all, for copyright reasons, I need to point out that I had nothing to do with the creation of this video and, in all honesty, don't really have the right to distribute it (but since it's meant to promote Akron, I don't see the harm in spreading it around).

All credit belongs to The Greater Akron Chamber, Akron/Summit Convention & Visitors Bureau, and hfa Marketing Communications.

I forget how I acquired this video, but it's essentially a tourism/moving/business promotion for my hometown. It's got some great shots of the city and, despite its infomercial feel, is just right when I'm feeling homesick.

I grew up in Akron and moved away as soon as I finished High School.

The cities unemployment was highest in the Nation.

Akron is known for having terrible weather with dreary, rainy, humid Summer and freezing cold Winter. They also have stinky air from all the Tire companies. The Cuyahoga river caught on fire from pollution.

So glad I escaped!

this wasn't filmed in akron cause they forgot that in sum areas you can hear gun shots every night. and there is a massive amount of homeless people and drug addicts.
