Watched that station since a kid in 1938 and through out the war. Cars pulling pumps. We had an allotment on Welford Road Rec now sadly Nelson Mandela park. When the bells went down everyone would stop to watch. How many owe their lives to that station?

@quarkslark It's an old one privately owned and preserved. Served as airfield fire cover during USAAF flying operations in the UK

It stood in for the 03 reg scania they were running due to problems with the suspension so the Scania was sent back to TVAC for repairs.
