Marie Lannoo - Artist Feature

Saskatoon-based artist Marie Lannoo, is passionate about colour and has worked hard to become one of Canada's best-known abstract painters. Over the past seven years she has developed a series of paintings that use transparent, reflective, acrylic media that allow her and her audiences to explore light and depth of field on the picture plane. Through this innovative technique, Lannoos paintings often spill an added dimension of colour beyond the frame onto the wall or nearby environment. In her most recent body of work, Through and Through and Through, Lannoo extends her exploration of colour.
