Red Nichols is great!!!!

I always love hearing Benny's clinker during his solo, so unlike him.
How about that Joe Sullivan, what a piano player!

Russin is so great. He reminds me of Hodges. And they both remind me of Bechet. And then, All three seems to manifest themselves in Paul Desmond. Just found out about Russin today. Great sound!

Nice relaxed playing by a starry lineup with a hint of the swing era that was to come towards the end. An interesting contrast to McKinney's Cotton Pickers version.

Jazz bands were mostly segregated at that time, but it's interesting to compare the styles of both bands.
