Jay Roberts describes how he constructed the diorama of The Battle of Morristown, MO which took place on the MO/KS border Sept. 17, 1861. Roberts researched the battle and surveyed the land for authenticity. The diorama may be seen in the Burnt District Museum at 400 E. Mechanic, Harrisonville, MO

  • It is near Freeman, Missouri, in Cass County, about five miles east of the KS state line and 10 miles west of Harrisonville, MO
