Random shots of my parents. I used a Bolex H16, Kodak 200T for inside and 250D for outside. Alpha Cine in Seattle, WA processed and telecine transfer to mini dv. After shooting 16mm for the first time and getting it to my computer I can now say thats its freaking expensive!! However I am in love with 16mm. I absolutely love it....wish it could be done cheaper though.....So the film, process, telecine, shipping and handling for roughly over 5 minutes comes to about 250 bucks. (sighs) (but that is with a work print) If you're going to edit digitally don't get a workprint. Next time I will be ready to shoot something and be way more methodical about my shots. Now off to do a short film!! Yay!!

  • what lens did u use?

  • I know for sure that I used 10mm for the wide shots and I believe for the closer shots like the medium shots of my parents I believe I used 50mm.

  • Fantastic, i loooooooooove film, digital video comes nowhere close to this colorful, dreamy medium. Shooting some 16mm hopefully soon when i get my Krasnogorsk-3 camera, cannot wait!

  • Yeah i love film too. I recently got a K3 camera too! But it needed to be serviced so you should look for a person to clean out the k3 and look to make sure its working order before you go out and shoot anything.

  • nothing beats 16mm and 35mm

  • @phrige band is called "Band of Horses" the song is called "The end's not near"

  • Very Cool! loving the 16 and the song used is really good too. Who's it by?

  • Beautiful footage!

  • the oustside shots have some strange pinkish color, i guess due to unsuccesful work of the colorist, btw beautiful indoors, the film remains allways the best:)

  • Nice work. I love the look of real film. Don't give up on it. It's expensive but it's cheaper in bulk AND it's just so much more beautiful and engaging. It makes me want to keep watching it. At the end of all the discussions, film is just more seductive.
