A bad day to be a pig in Sulawesi, Indonesia

The main market, in Tanah Toraja in Sulawesi, Indonesia, isn't the best place to be a pig, or a buffalo for that matter. But a fascinating place to visit.....they are used for sacrificing, and of course eating!

PS I'd just like to add that I am a vegetarian, and these places make me one....

@jasworld123 both bugis-ethnic & toraja-ethnic is in south-sulawesi provence,but their culture is very-different! torajan-ppl is christians plus their animism-culture but bugisian most 100% moslem!

yaya... tator is tator... bugis is bugis..... n most of the bugis ppl is muslim... indon oso muslim country, so the muslim can't eat pork just like that in public.... n belief or not, semenanjung malaysia ppl some of them or bugis,n not a pure malay... some of the politician is bugis ppl.... yet in sabah... u can see many tator culture because many of them come to sabah work... ^^

This is the only place Bugis still going on. Openly selling pig and eating pork among bugis. While this culture is band in Malaysia by Malaysia Gov. The Bugis here are no more call Bugis. They are call Malay.
