Nah, Nanbu is 南部 -- like the name of the samurai clan or (Kyosuke's namesake) the maker of guns for the Imperial Japanese armed forces. Kyosuke's name is written in kana, but the OGs art book gives kanji for all the Japanese names, i.e. 南部　響介 for Kyousuke Nanbu.
